President opens new Telecommunication gateway in Juba

The President of the Republic on Wednesday opened the new gateway building of the Ministry of Telecommunication and Postal Services at Gumbo in Juba.
 
Salva Kiir Mayardit described the building as a clear manifestation of government’s efforts to development and service delivery, saying now South Sudanese can communicate through mobile telephones in remote villages, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He pledged that more services promised before independence would be delivered after achieving peace in the country.
 
National Telecommunication and Postal Services Minister Rebecca Joshua Okwachi expressed commitment to continue delivering services to South Sudanese masses.
 
She said the ministry would rededicate itself to speedy implement the passed laws including Communication, Policy Framework and Strategic Plan 2013-2018.
 
National and state ministers and officials from various government institutions attended the occasion.
