Western Equatoria Deputy Governor called for preventions of cholera before reaching the state.
Sapana Abui told St Mary Yambio Catholic Parish congregation on Sunday that the government was committed to ensure that people were educated about the disease, Anisa Radio reported.
The Deputy Governor thanked church leaders and Christians for praying for peace and public servants every time.
Western Equatoria Health Ministry official advised the public to keep the environment clean.
It added that defecating in open areas and dumping garbage in the market for more than two days encourage flies to rapidly spread the cholera bacteria.
