Yei River County Gender, Child and Social Welfare Assistant Commissioner said raping cases were rising without legal steps to tract down violators.
Victoria Nasirah urged national authorities to strengthen laws against perpetrators who violate women rights in the society, Easter Radio reported.
She condemned suicide mission, appealing to the public to share their problems with neighbours or local authorities to seek solutions.
The Assistant Commissioner complained that despite efforts made by women to protect their rights, criminals were set with low charges prompting others to repeat the same crimes.
