Tonj South County Wildlife Deputy Director in Warrap State on Tuesday urged the entire community and organized forces to stop killing wild animals in the forest.
Joseph Bar Abija said in March they arrested a man who killed an ostrich in Thiet Payam of and was sentenced him to 14 years imprisonment or pay 10 thousand South Sudan Pounds, Don Bosco Radio reported.
The Deputy Director urged the entire community of Greater Tonj to protect wild and water animals because they are sources of money in the country.
Mr Abija called on citizens to avoid unnecessary cutting of trees because they shelter wild animals and attract rain to people for cultivation.
