Archbishop Lukudu confers degrees to graduates

Catholic Archbishop of Juba on Saturday presented bachelor degrees to Education, Economics and Business Administration graduates of Catholic University of South Sudan affiliated to Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
 
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro declared recognition of the graduates on May 24, 2014 by the mother Catholic University of Eastern Africa for the Bachelor Degree awards.
 
He congratulated them for the achievement after four years of struggle.
 
One of the graduates Moi Emmanuel Ladelious encouraged the young ones to pursue further education to progress instead of idling.
 
He urged colleagues to consider entrepreneurship because jobs are not available in markets at the moment.
 
Mr Emmanuel proudly said Catholic University graduates are marketable.
 
Graduate Albertina Obeyok who had mixed feelings of happiness for graduating and sadness for losing her mother only two months ago, said her mother should participate in the celebration.
 
She argued that she would employ herself in saloon business to earn 300 South Sudanese Pounds per day.
 
Education graduate Deng William Deng expressed determination to fight illiteracy in South Sudan despite challenges of low and irregular salaries.
 
He challenged education deserters for failing to understand that teachers are nation builders, not money earners.
 
Government Spokesperson Michael Makuei Lueth said it was unfortunate that the students graduated during war time.
 
He expressed hope that peace would return to the country for development efforts to take root.
