Cholera infection in Juba dynamic, beyond 281

Juba Teaching Hospital Director General said the number of cholera case in the hospital was beyond 281 with 7 death right from the beginning.
 
Wani Lolik Lodu said number keeps changing at any time, describing it as ‘dynamic’.
 
Dr Lolik clarified that the disease is got through drinking contaminated water and food carried by flies.
 
The Director General said maintaining good sanitation is a solution to water born diseases.
 
The Director explained that when flies that fed on faeces of infected person touch food, then it would also contaminate food and water.
 
He advised persons who touches someone infected to wash hands thoroughly with soap and clean water.
 
Dr Lolik advised the public to avoid getting into contact with infected persons to avoid spreading the disease.
