Eastern Equatoria Assembly on Tuesday formed a committee to petition the Council of States over Kasengor Payam dispute with Jonglei state.
The Acting Speaker, Paul Napwon said the five-member committee would join other groups in the state to appeal to the Council of States in Juba over the Kasengor dispute, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He explained that the formation of the committee followed a recommendation of the council of minister after parliamentary resolution over the matter.
MP Napwon said the state parliament was allocated three positions, but MPs resolved that at least five members should represent the Assembly.
The Acting Speaker explained that other people included two ministers, Kapoeta East County Commissioner, Toposa Community Chairperson and five members of Jie Community.
Five members of the Parliament nominated to the team are: Benjamin Lopeyok, Allan Nasike Lochul, Agnes Mobe Lox, Emilio Loky and George Echom Ekeno.
