A Member of Lakes State Legislative Assembly was robbed at gunpoint last week while visiting his constituency to cultivate on his farm.
Shardrack Bol Machok told Good News Radio on phone from Wulu County that he took Boda-boda from Rumbek when two armed civilians stopped him at gunpoint and took 500 South Sudanese Pounds.
He said he took a boda-boda to his constituency in order to cultivate because his car broke down.
MP Bol decried lack of privileges for State legislators compared to the national ones.
The lawmaker said many MPs who could not afford to buy a car on individual salaries use boda-boda for transport.
A scheduled recess sitting was postponed on Monday as Lakes MPs demand their constitutional recess emoluments of about 11 thousand South Sudanese Pounds each from government.
