Alleged cattle raiders from Cueibet County of Lake State on Saturday caught five fishermen and killed three of them and left two to return home in Tonj South County of Warrap State.

County Commissioner William Wol Mayom told Don Bosco Radio that the three people killed were Dinka and the two left were Bongo youths serving as community police in Aguka Boma.

He said two people were shot and one was tied on the tree and killed.

The Commissioner said the raiders took the guns of the two community police, saying it was the second time that raiders arrested fishermen and killed them for unknown reason.

Mr Wol called on Cueibet County Commissioner to hunt down and arrest those raiders.

He pledged to put police forces in Aguka Boma, Timthok and other places to protect citizens.

Mr Wol urged Greater Tonj community to continue with their cultivation, assuring them of police protection.

He advised Greater Tonj citizens not to revenge, but to stay calm and peaceful.
