Practical and Quality Assurance Director in Central Equatoria State Health Ministry advised medical nurses and midwives to adhere to professional ethics including mode of communication.

Addressing the World Nurse and Midwives Day celebration on Wednesday in Juba, Suzan Poni Dila said nurses and wives are forgetting their ethics by behaving differently in wards, Bakhita Radio reported.

She added that communication is a very important tool for the medical practitioners to ease interaction with patients.

Ms Poni advised medical practitioners to follow the example of Florence Nightingale during Crimean war in 1853.

She called on nurses and midwives to do their work without regretting, saving the nation.
