Yei River County Agriculture Assistant Commissioner advised farmers to make maximum use of the rainy season by planting seasonal crops for quality harvesting at the end of the year.
Edmond Taban Gogo also urged the youth to go gardening to address food shortages in other parts of the country.
Mr Gogo appealed to the National Ministry of Agriculture to extend farm inputs to address challenges facing farmers on the ground.
Earlier this month Farm Project donated 17 metric tones of seeds to organized farmers in Yei.
