Western Equatoria Physical Infrastructure Minister on Tuesday returned home after representing Equatoria region in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Clement Juma Mbugoniwia told Anisa Radio that their visit to Addis Ababa was to lobby for peace and present views of Equatoria to be added to the agenda of peace talks.
He said Equatorians were not involved in the process and they felt it was important to include their views and resolve the crisis once and for all.
Minster Juma explained that since 2011, Equatoria region organized three conferences to identify key issues that could affect the future of South Sudan.
He added that the issues included adopting a federal system of governance, institutional reforms and review of foreign services.
The Minister said it was an opportunity for Equatoria to work together and ensure reaching a comprehensive peace based on federal system lobbied for since 1947.
He disclosed that they met with IGAD mediators, Troika representatives plus the government and SPLM/A in opposition delegates in Ethiopia.
