Kumbur Payam Um Durdu Administrative Unit Agriculture Secretary called on Nuba community to avoid wastage of time and benefit from available rainfall.
Uttura Lalu wondered why residents there had not started cultivation, yet rainfall intensified since March, Voice of Peace reported.
He urged the Nuba community to change from past life of two decades ago when rains in the Nuba Mountains fell in May and June.
Mr Lalu pointed out that there are changes in weather in the year 2014.
He lamented that Nuba farmlands are green and yet no crop has been planted.
