Rumbek Catholic Diocese Caritas delivered some food and non-food items to Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in Yirol East County of Lakes State.
Caritas Director Fr. John Auowero revealed that the organization received some funding from Germany donors to aid IDPs with relief, Good News Radio reported.
He added that the items were to sustain and shelter lives of hungry IDPs.
Yirol East Commissioner Manyang Luke lamented that the number of IDPs amounting to at least 3784 from Unity and Jonglei States was alarming.
He added that more than one thousand IDPs were pastoralists from Twic East County camping at Adior and Malek Payams and Yirol East County Headquarter.
The officials made the statements during relief distribution to IDPS.
