WBG Information Minister advocates for limited press freedom

Western Bahr el Ghazal State Minister of Information called on media houses to exercise limited freedom within the prescription of government.
 
Derrick Alfred Uya told Voice of Hope that he recognized World Press Freedom Day, reminding journalists to exercise press freedom with limit.
 
He described freedom of expression as an element that voicing concerns to get access to information.
 
Mr. Alfred added that freedom of the press is subject to government regulation during difficult times.
 
The minister urged journalists to report reliable and accurate information to public.
 
He told journalists to stick to professional ethics in reporting to avoid misunderstanding with security agents.
