A couple in Jebel Khor Residential Area in Wau allegedly committed suicide by setting itself on fire under the influence of drugs.
The couple identified as Anthony Pasqual and Marline Thomas believed to be less than 25 years on Thursday morning burned themselves inside their room, Voice of Hope reported.
Wau Deputy Mayor Anthony Charles Mberende confirmed the incident.
He said the two instantly died as neighbours could not quickly come to their rescue.
Mr. Charles believed the couple committed suicide under the influence of drug, warning young people against engaging in drug abuse.
The deceased couple is survived by a three year old baby boy who happened to be away from the house.
