Yei River County in Central Equatoria State is expected to celebrate International Labour Day on Thursday May 1 at homes without a remarkable public ceremony.
County Labour official Paul Ohisa told Easter Radio on Wednesday that Labour Day celebration recognizes the harvests achieved through hard work and services contributed towards development of the country by the working class.
He said the day means employees would not go for work, but evaluate and tackle setbacks encountered during delivery of services.
Mr Ohisa detested the fact that Labour Day would not be characterized with public events including rallies, football matches and speeches due to shortage of resources in 2014.
