SPLA Spokesperson said government forces are facing danger at border areas with Sudan, undermining territorial integrity.
Colonel Philip Aguer told CRN in telephone interview that SPLA would do its mandate to liberate SPLM/A in opposition occupied areas if they do not stop attacking its bases.
He argued that the army is constitutionally mandated to protect the territorial integrity of the Republic, despite the Cessation of Hostilities Agreement signed between government and SPLM/A in opposition.
Colonel Aguer claimed SPLA repulsed opposition forces during an attack on Monday morning in Ayod area of Jonglei State.
SPLM/A in opposition forces could not be reached for comment on the claim.
