Eastern Equatoria State Minister of Education raised a concern of limited budget to recruit more human resources including teachers and health workers to cater for increasing influx of IDPs in the state.
Michael Lopuke Lotyam said some non-governmental organizations intervened to increase learning space for accommodation, but service providers are not in place to teach children in schools and treat the sick in health centres.
The minister suggested that teachers, nurses and other social workers among the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs should get to service in the areas of settlement as their home state governments make arrangement to pay them.
He revealed plans to visit and identify teaching professionals to involve in operation in schools where IDPs are schooling.
Mr Lopuke decried the influx of IDPs overwhelming resources and service provision in education, health, housing, water and sanitation sectors.
