Health experts call for malaria prevention

As the world marked International Malaria Day on Friday April 25th, health experts called for the use of preventive measures to guard against infections.
 
Caritas Torit Officer Sarah Auma said health organizations recommended the use of treated mosquito nets, insecticide and closing of door to mosquito bites, Emmanuel Radio reported.
 
She advised that homesteads should be kept clean by clearing bushes, filling pot holes and destroying containers that hold water to minimize mosquito breeding grounds 
 
Ms Auma said International Malaria Day event in Eastern Equatoria State was marked at the counties.
 
The International Malaria Day celebrated under the theme ‘invest in the future, defeat malaria’ was organized by Save the Children, American Refugee Committee, ARC, Caritas Torit and AVSI in collaboration with the State Ministry of Health.
