Former Deputy Interior Minister confessed that government leadership including him are pretending to be churchgoers but do not put God’s words into action.
Salva Mathok Gengdit told Easter congregation at St. Mary Cathedral in Wau that government leaders do not take God’s word seriously, leading to bloody crisis in South Sudan.
He lamented that they had been going to church in Juba yet carried out bloodshed against biblical teachings.
Mr Mathok believes if leaders had embraced God’s word in their hearts, the country would have been saved from chaos.
The former Deputy Minister appealed to the warring parties to listen to the cry of South Sudanese for peace.
Mr. Mathok appreciated relative peace in Western Bahr El-Ghazal State, housing several tribes from different states.
He asked the state government to continue maintaining peace for children to study.
The former Deputy Minister made the revelation in Easter Ceremony in Wau City of Western Bahr El Ghazal State.
