National Health Minister said on Monday Luanda World Health Organization, WHO and African Union, AU Health Ministers’ conference resolved to form African Medical Agency.
Riak Gai Kok told reporters in Juba shortly after arrival from Luanda, Angola that the conference also discussed universal health coverage, reduction of maternal and infant mortality rate in Africa, accountability and commitment to resolutions of the conference.
He said the conference was the first of its kind for all African ministers of health and that it would be an annual regular event.
Dr Gai said it was a good opportunity to share experiences with counterparts in the continent and that many showed interest to help improve health services in South Sudan.
