The Catholic Archbishop of Juba on Friday urged South Sudanese to take courage amid suffering and death due to ongoing conflict in the country, calling on the nation to rise up with the Lord Jesus Christ on the Easter Day.
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro decried the suffering the nation is undergoing at different societal units including individuals, families, communities, churches, government and the entire country.
The prelate said with faith, perseverance and courage South Sudan would rise up again.
Archbishop Lukudu explained that Easter is a very great feast reminding mankind of victory over death.
He added that the day reveals the fulfilment of restoring broken relationship through Christ’s death and resurrection to save sinners.
Archbishop Lukudu made the statement on Good Friday, conveying Easter message to the nation.
