IDPs fear returning home

Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs expressed fear of returning to their homes, revealing that their houses are occupied by soldiers.
 
Kormac Chuol Bedong who is willing to return home feels threatened with the occupation of their settlements in Mia Saba, Jebel Dinka, Kor William and Mangaten with members of the SPLA and National Security.
 
He revealed the army grabbed personal property of the IDPs including vehicle.
 
Mr Chuol urged the government to intervene to facilitate their return home after the bloody mid December crisis in Juba.
 
He appreciated President Kiir’s call for IDPs to return to their families, demanding assurances for their safety from the government.
 
Mr Chuol said government’s call for IDPs return home should be sincere, in good faith, but not mere politics.
 
The IDP spoke to CRN on Thursday on his way to meet Vice President James Wani Igga on the return of IDPs.
