President Kiir bans playing games in preference to production

The President of the Republic on Wednesday banned playing cards, dominos and idling under trees which disrupt agricultural production in the country.
 
Salva Kiir Mayardit criticised idleness and dependence on relief aid, calling for an end to the vices.
 
He urged civil societies, media and the masses to play a critical role in mobilizing the population to cultivate in the rainy season.
 
World Food Program, WFP Country Director Mike Sackett said the organization supports small and medium enterprises through capacity building of small scale farmers.
 
He revealed that WFP registered remarkable progress in empowering small scale farmers and that the program would continue to enhance food production initiatives.
 
The Country Director expressed commitment to help desperate people languishing in hunger in the country.
