SPLA spokesman on Monday accused SPLM/A in opposition of attacking oilfield refineries in Unity State, wounding one foreign engineer and looting a company vehicle.
In a telephone interview with CRN Colonel Philip Aguer blamed opposition forces for series of attacks targeting oil fields in violation of Cessation of Hostilities Agreement.
The Spokesman said the government remains in control of the situation.
He added that opposition forces came from the Northern direction of Sudan border attacking South of Lalob oil refinery area.
Colonel Aguer expressed confidence in the government forces in controlling the situation militarily or politically.
He argued that the anti-government’s continuous attacks and threats in refinery sites do not mean victory on their side.
SPLM/A in opposition could not be reached for comment on who controls oilfields in Unity State.
