Rumbek Central County 46 head teachers, 46 Parent-Teacher Association or PTA members and five inspectors on Wednesday met Lakes State Governor and raised concerns of low salaries and limited number of teachers.
The meeting discussed education development and challenges facing the county, Good News Radio reported.
Rumbek Central County Education Director William Koji Kirjok told teachers to teach pupils peace.
He urged the teachers to follow their profession and avoid involvement in these conflicts meandering in the State.
The Director called on parents to send their children to school.
Teachers in Lakes State urged the government to increase their salaries.
