An inter-clan clashes between Tolok and Harianga communities of Hinisio Boma, Imotong Payam of Ikotos County in Eastern Equatoria left one person death, others wounded and a village burnt to ashes.

State Local Government and Law Enforcement Minister Ambrose Lokonoi said the clashes were over land ownership, Emmanuel Radio reported.

He explained that one community tried to relocate the other claiming that the land belongs to it and those to be relocated were settled by the British long ago.

Mr Lokonoi said they sent the County Commissioner, the public prosecutor and other officials to apprehend the suspects and bring them to book.

The Minister appealed to citizens to help the government identify law breakers to face charges.
