The construction of Yei-Lasu road linking South Sudan to the DR Congo is scheduled to kick off on Friday.
Yei River County Commissioner Juma David Augustine told a preparatory meeting on Tuesday that the project aimed to ensure recruitment of local labourers and its completion, Easter Radio reported.
Project Manager Benson Budia confirmed his company’s readiness to recruit the locals to benefit from the project.
He called on the locals to apply to the company’s office for appointment to work on Yei-Lasu road construction.
The meeting was attended by Otogo Payam director and Road Monitoring Committee members.
