Foreign Affairs Ministry said it recalled five Ambassadors of Washington, Moscow, Brussels, Beijing and Addis Ababa to Juba for replacement.

Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Mawien Makol Arik told CRN on Monday that the ministry would bring the ambassadors to Juba in the coming days as a normal transfer policy.

He added that new foreign diplomats would be appointed to succeed the recalled ambassadors to convey national messages to the world.

Ambassador Mawien denied rumours that the recalled ambassadors did not do enough in telling the globe about the alleged ‘failed attempted coup’ in mid December, 2013.

He said the ambassadors performed to the best of their abilities in explaining government’s position in the face of conflicts.

The Ambassador said the transfers only coincided with the aftermath of mid December political crisis in the country.

South Sudan Ambassadors to United States, Akec Khoc Aciew and that to China Eluzai Moga Yokwe are among those expected back in few days.
