World Health Organization or WHO Medical Officer said they are stepping up efforts to guard against meningitis outbreak.
Abdinasir Abubakar told CRN in on Thursday that there were suspected cases of meningitis in Kajo-Keji County of Central Equatoria and Kapoeta Counties of Eastern Equatoria.
He added that cases were not yet confirmed in the laboratory to declare an outbreak in the country.
Dr Abubakar lamented that some South Sudanese refugees in Uganda already became victims of meningitis.
