Yei Deputy Mayor on Sunday warned citizens against disrespecting the National Anthem.

Silvano Ali observed that many citizens keep on moving in occasions when others sing the National Anthem, Easter Radio reported.

He wondered that police did not take action against those driving, cycling, ridding and walking while people were singing the Anthem at Yei Freedom Square.

The Deputy Mayor said South Sudan National Anthem should be respected because it is the identity of citizens.

He urged teachers to continue teaching pupils and students to understand the importance of the National Anthem.
