Yei Municipal Council on Monday summoned the Mayoress to explain about the creation of two additional blocks and more quarter councils.
Oba Cicilia Tito said the Council wanted her clarifications on the provisional order for creating more blocks according to the Local Government Act 2009, Easter Radio reported.
She said the Act requires a Municipality to have five or more blocks.
Yei Municipal Legislative Council Speaker Ibrahim Mohammed Hassan legislators were happy on Mayoress’ clarification on the provisional order for the creation of blocks and quarter councils.
He said it was important for the executive and the legislative to consult before reaching the people on the ground.
The officials made their statements in Yei Municipal Council Hall on Monday.
