St Mary Catholic Parish priest in Yambio warned faithful against fear, telling them to love one another for peace to be deeply rooted in the country.
Fr Elias Juma in his homily on Sunday said fears and doubts neither promote real peace of God nor allow Christians to fully implement their duties, Anisa Radio reported.
He explained that peace, love and hope were coming from God who create good relationships among all people.
Fr Juma said when people were not living in peace they cannot fully participate in what Christianity requires of them.
He called on the faithful to strongly engage in prayers to overcome difficulties.
Fr Juma said the current political crisis in the country reduced due to prayers and petitions to God.
The priest urged people to emphasize hearty and sincere prayers in order for both physical and psychological peace to prevail.
