A visiting journalist to Bor town testified that the town was completely burnt into down beyond recognition.
Mogga Emmanuel told CRN in an exclusive interview that markets, shops, banks, offices and hotels were all reduced to ashes.
He added that he saw at least five corpses lying along roadsides, some in market and even in a church and ECSSS bishop residence in Bor.
Mr Mogga said an Ethiopian investor in Bor lost 80 thousand South Sudanese Pounds in the fighting between government forces and forces loyal to Dr Riek Machar.
The journalist reported that the investor said he wanted to go back home and plan afresh because the loss was irreplaceable.
Returning inhabitants and leaders are requesting funds from the government to give Bor a step forward after devastation.
