Kajo-Keji authorities lobby for funds to support IDPs

Kajo-Keji County authorities are lobbying for funds and emergency relief to support the IDPs displaced by the current political crisis.
 
Kajo-Keji County Press Secretary Amule Charles told Bakhita Radio in a telephone interview that the authorities started to solicit for money to assist the IDPs at the County headquarters, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
Mr Charles said most of the IDPs in the County were from Jonglei state with few from Juba.
 
He said Commissioner Henry Kala Sabuni called for urgent humanitarian assistance including food items, shelter and medicines.
 
Mr Charles added that the Commissioner said there was already a sign of food shortage and prices of commodities increased in the market.
 
He said Kaji-Keji Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan Bishop Anthony Pogo left for Netherlands to lobbyfor funds to support the IDPs in the County.
 
Mr Charles said the County authorities were registering the IDPs to get some assistance.
