The Catholic Archbishop of Juba described the politics of South Sudan as ”immature” characterized with tribalism, weak politics, administration, governance and poor government setup.

Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro strongly criticized that South Sudan politics does not reflect democracy, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said South Sudan politicians were not living the life of real democracy.

Archbishop Lukudu called on religious leaders in the country to work hard in embracing peace in the country.

The Catholic prelate said the fact that South Sudanese living in one country does not necessarily mean that people should be from one background.

He added that the ongoing fighting in the country was just because of division among people and that there was need to bridge the gap tribalism created.

Archbishop Lukudu said there was nothing fruitful being discussed in the peace talks in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

He said the two delegations were the same people who caused the problem and continue to point fingers at one another.

Archbishop Lukudu urged the mediating body to involve the international community and the church to expedite the talks and find out the root causes of the conflict.
