The Cardinal of Sudan visiting Juba for Catholic Bishops’ meeting on Saturday, urged South Sudanese to realize that they are all children of God, living as brothers and sisters.

Cardinal Gabriel Zubeir Wako said realizing humanity as a creation of God would discourage people from picking guns to shoot one another.

He warned against the danger of being people without faith and God, saying believing in God means believing in man.

The Cardinal urged South Sudan’s political leaders to look beyond their personal interests to resolve the country’s crisis.

He said he was running short of words to advise South Sudanese leaders because their thinking seems to be wrong.

Cardinal Wako lamented that the longer the fighting continues the weaker and the poorer citizens would become.

The Cardinal is in Juba for South Sudan and Sudan Bishops Conference meeting scheduled for Tuesday.
