Prices of commodities in Juba markets remain stable despite the mid December political crisis.

Finance and Economic Planning Undersecretary Simon Nyang Anei told the press in Juba that prices were normal and many shops open, Bakhita Radio reported.

He said there was no increment in prices of the commodities and that 90 percent of the shop owners in the town were selling their products.

The Undersecretary appreciated the business community for keeping the market running normal.

He encouraged those who left their businesses to return and resume their activities.

Mr Nyang urged South Sudanese who fled to the neighbouring countries to come back home and continue with their businesses.

The traders in the market said since then the incident started in Juba, they did not increase prices.
