The United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS is hosting six thousand displaced people in its Tomping compound and another seven thousand in Jebel Kujuk compound.
UNMISS Information Officer Joseph Contreras told Bakhita Radio that there were increasing numbers of civilians seeking protection in the UN compounds.
He said they were only able to provide to them water and some blankets but unable to provide food.
Mr Contreras said UNMISS was likely to face some difficult living conditions if numbers of displaced people continue to increase in the two compounds.
He added that if the number continues to increase in the coming days then the UNMISS will decides for what to do.
The displaced people came from Newsite, Mia Shaba and Munuki residential areas.
