Juba crisis hits Vivacell customers in Yei

Vivacell customers are suffering a blow of Juba crisis that caused scarcity of airtimes in the whole County.
 
Many Vivacell consumers were searching for airtimes since Monday and many got that two Pounds airtime increased to three Pounds, that of five went to six and ten went to 12 South Sudanese Pounds, Easter Radio reported.
 
Vivacell retailer Jack Joseph said they were frustrated because airtime was finished and people were complaining bitterly.
 
He added that there was no transport from Juba to bring airtimes to Yei.
 
Mr Joseph complained that the situation was not changing though they were assured of a change due to security improvement in Juba.
 
He said retailers previous buy airtime at 95 Pounds, but they now buy at 100 Pounds forcing them to increase prices.
 
A Vivacell dealer was scared at gun point in front of Easter Radio staff.
