The Vice President of the Republic said the Government would finance and support Human Rights Commission.
Addressing Human Rights Day celebration on Tuesday in Juba, James Wani Igga, said the Government would ensure legitimacy, trust and authority of the state.
He added that the government shall uphold strong political will for transparency and accountability.
The Vice President said the government would promote public administration to fight mismanagement.
He urged top government officials to combat nepotism and tribalism by employing the right people in the right places.
The head of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS Hilde F Johnson said sexual exploitation was one of the fundamental violations of human rights.
She said one of the Mission’s priorities was to train SPLA on human rights and strengthen military justice and accountability.
The Human Rights Day celebration drew together top government officials, organized forces and local and international NGOs.
