National Legislative Assembly on Wednesday forwarded to Justice and Legislation Committee the report on study tour to Kenya Parliament and later establish Parliamentary Commission.

Deputy Speaker Jasmine Samuel Adakayi ruled that the report be passed unanimously as it concerns members’ affairs.

Legislators adopted the report by clapping loudly as Deputy Speaker complimented them.

MP Henry Oduwa from Eastern Equatoria State moved the motion for passing of the study tour report to the committee to establish Parliamentary Commission after recess.

He appreciated his colleague Pascal Badidi for clarity in deliberating on the need to establish a visionary policy framework for effective efficient parliament.

MP Anthony Kudus Justin who presented the report said the tour was prompted by findings that the National Legislative Assembly was violating Public Service employment regulations.

He added that the Assembly was employing many unclassified staff, lacks transparency and accountability and there were language barrier and computer illiteracy among staff.
