US urges government to accelerate Cconstitution review process

The United State of America Special Envoy for South Sudan and Sudan urged the government to accelerate Constitution review process during this dry season.
 
Donald Booth told the press at the American Embassy in Juba on Friday that Constitution was very important for South Sudanese democratic future, Bakhita Radio reported.
 
He said the people will decide on the type of that government suitable for ruling the country if the Constitution was put in place.
 
Ambassador Booth said the American people in their Constitution value the bill of rights and freedom of the press.
 
Mr Booth said a society with a vibrant press is one that will develop in a democratic manner.
 
The Ambassador said the US government is closely monitoring what is taking place in South Sudan and will continue to support freedom of the press in the country.
