Bishop Abangete Nursery School on Friday graduated the third batch of top class pupils for the year 2013 in Yambio.
Headmistress Ester Lagita said during the graduation ceremony that 87 pupils sat in the top class for the final exams and all of them passed to join primary one, Anisa Radio reported.
Sister Lagita added that the school improved this year with recruitment of three new qualified teachers from Uganda.
She said one South Sudanese teacher was sent to Solidarity Teacher’s Training College and it contributed to the success of the school.
Sister Lagita thanked International Refugees Trust for a donation of 20,500 South Sudanese Pounds that was used to repair a classroom block, buy some teaching materials and pay the workers.
She complained that some parents owed the school with 9,000 South Sudanese Pounds.
PTA chairman Justin Masini thanked the school administration and the parents for their determination and cooperation towards the success of the school.
Mr Masini disclosed that before the reopening of the school they will hold a parents and teachers’ meeting to prepare a strategic action plan.
Luke Yuguhe, who represented the Catholic Bishop of Tombura Yambio, announced that the bishop promised to stand firm with the school administration.
Fr Yuguhe added that Bishop Eduardo Hiiboro was concerned with education in the diocese and Western Equatoria.
Bishop Abangite Nursery has 330 pupils. 164 are female.
