Yei Catholic Diocese on Saturday welcomed new male and female missionaries from India to reopen the mission of Mundri on Western Equatoria State.
A number of Missionaries of Mary Immaculate and Daughters of Mary Immaculate from India arrived in Yei to take care of the Mission of Mundri that comprises Mundri East and West and Mvolo counties.
Diocesan pastoral coordinator Faustino Lumori called for more missionaries to come to Yei Diocese, Easter Radio reported.
He said the local clergy would work together with the new missionaries to preach the Word of God to the unreached people.
Father Faustino urged the new missionaries to work hard and attract more colleagues to the diocese to increase the service of the priesthood.
He said priests were few to reach the whole diocese.
