South Sudan was the first football team to bow out of the CECAFA qualifiers after losing 3-1 to Kenya on Saturday in Nairobi.
On the other Group A game, Ethiopia beat Zanzibar by 3 to 1.
South Sudan was beaten 2-1 by Zanzibar in the first match and the changes to win against Ethiopia in Machakos on Tuesday are very slim.
Kenya and Ethiopia scored a goalless draw in their match last Wednesday.
The other teams playing the CECAFA are Tanzania, Zambia, Burundi and Somalia in Group B and Uganda, Rwanda, Sudan and Eritrea in Group C.
The CECAFA final is scheduled to Nairobi’s Nyayo Stadium on December 12 at 4:00 PM.
