Western Bahr El Ghazal State Legislative Assembly on Wednesday passed the statement policy of ministry of Finance, Commerce and Industry.

Legislators deliberated on the policy in three sessions after the specialized committee of Finance and Development presented recommendations and observations, Voice of Hope reported.

The specialized committee recommended the state government to fully control revenue collection through banks to avoid financial discrepancies.

The committee instructed the state government to coordinate with neighbouring states to remove illegal checkpoints and high transit fees on commodities.

State Finance Minister Lillian Rizik revealed that illegal checkpoints led to a drop of 400 thousand South Sudanese Pounds revenue collection.

MP Mario Nyabang urged the minister to present the strategic plan 2012-2015 as reflected in the statement policy.
