Western Bahr El Ghazal state Director of Nationality, Passport and Immigration called on the public to be patient as individual documents take time to process.

Lieutenant Colonel John Madut Malek said the directorate was witnessing a huge turn-up due to attendance of organized forces together with civilians that led to the delay of documents, Voice of Hope reported.

The Director added that residents of Gogrial East and Tonj of Warrap state were also processing their documents in the state and other bordering areas of Wau.

He urged all citizens to remain patient as they waited for their documents after finishing all the process.

Mr Madut said lack of technicians and facilities remained a major challenge to the issuance of nationality documents.

He added that many departments sent their staff to get nationality and other documents making it harder to secure the documents in two to three days.

Mr Madut appreciated Western Bahr El Ghazal residents for cooperating with the department since its beginning.

He also appreciated the community for lack of crimes reported among the citizens.

Western Bahr El Ghazal Directorate of Nationality Passport and Immigration processed over 150 documents a day.
