Two abandoned babies died in Wau Teaching Hospital after several attempts to save their lives.
Police patrols found three babies and handed them to Wau Teaching Hospital for first aid service, unfortunately one only survived, Voice of Hope reported.
Hospital Head of Maternal Ward Lucia Albino Amin confirmed that this month alone they registered three cases of abandoned babies.
She explained that police arrested a mother who abandoned her baby but she escaped during antenatal care in the hospital.
Wau Police Station Director Major Martin James Ibra said one case of abandoned baby was opened and police are still tracing out the mother.
Among the abandoned babies two were boys and one girl.
